This Privacy Policy describes how the myopia.md portal collects, uses, and protects the personal data of website visitors.

1. What data we collect

When using our website, we may collect the following information:

  • Contact data: phone number, name — when filling out the appointment form
  • Child data: age group — when filling out the form
  • Test results: answers to the myopia risk test (anonymous, not linked to identity unless you provide contact data)
  • Technical data: browser type, device type, pages visited — standard web analytics data

2. How we use the data

  • To contact you in response to a consultation request
  • To provide personalized recommendations based on test results
  • To improve website functionality and content quality
  • We do not use your data for advertising messages without your consent

Passing your encrypted phone number to Google Ads and Meta to measure advertising — only on the basis of your consent (section 9).

3. Data storage and protection

Contact data from the appointment form is transmitted through a secure channel (Telegram Bot API with HTTPS encryption) directly to the portal administrator. Data is not stored in the website's databases.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except when this is necessary to fulfill your request (for example, providing contact data to the specialist for scheduling) or when required by law.

With your consent (section 9) — Google (Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram): the phone number and first name from the request in encrypted form.

5. Cookies

The myopia.md website does not use its own cookies for tracking. Third-party services (Google Fonts, CDN) may set their own cookies in accordance with their privacy policies.

You have the right to:

  • Request information about your data stored by us
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Revoke consent to data processing at any time

9. Help us with advertising

Our booking forms have a separate “Help us with advertising” checkbox. It is not ticked in advance and is not required for booking: without it we accept the request and provide the service in exactly the same way. If you allowed “Marketing” in the cookie window, the checkbox is not shown: you have already given this consent there.

If you tick it (or allowed “Marketing”), we pass your phone number and, if provided, your first name to Google (Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram) — only in encrypted form: an irreversible SHA-256 hash from which the number cannot be recovered. Together with the hash we pass the fact of the request or paid service and its amount. Medical data (examination results, diagnosis, quiz answers) is never passed.

  • Why: so that advertising systems see which ads led to real bookings and show them to people who find them useful, not to everyone.
  • What happens next: Google and Meta compare the hash with their users. If there is no match, the record is discarded. The data is used to measure and tune our advertising under the Google Ads and Meta Business Tools data processing terms.
  • When: when you send a request and after the service is provided and paid.
  • Storage: the consent record is kept together with the request; Google and Meta keep the data they receive under their own rules.
  • How to withdraw: write to info@eurooptica.md or call +373 67 24 00 00. From that moment we stop passing your data. Withdrawal does not affect your booking or treatment.
